i think you’re right about some kind of community-level action–i actually was starting to write about that, then thought about the actual situation and deleted what i’d written as pure wishful thinking. i guess we’re just not hearing much positive feedback from the troops right now? seems like if there were any good news, we’d be hearing it from the white house. if even THOSE guys aren’t coming up with much, how can we say what we’re doing is having an impact? what if our attempts to secure places only increase the level of fear and mistrust? i mean, we ARE basically going around knocking on doors and saying, give us all your guns… the problem with this tactic is, only the law-abiding people who AREN’T trying to kill you will actually comply! at this point i’m almost thinking we’re going to have to do some kind of travel restriction, but when you get to that point, might as well just go ahead and declare martial law…
