So while driving to school the day before school starts, my alternator belt decided to snap off.
Sadly that meant no more cooling the engine and loss of power steering.Fortunately I was driving straight and managed to pull over to the shoulder before my engine blew up.
Got to school at midnight…. and I left at 7pm-ish. Sigh.At least I’m in one piece.
In the end, I managed to drive it off the exit and thr’ some miracle there was a Goodyear mechanic shop there.
That saved me the price of towing and more time.
Does cost me about $400 already and I haven’t even brought a textbook yet…

Replacing alternator belt: $400
Time & aggravation: Free
Living to tell: Priceless.
wtf 400 for an alternator belt???
Yes, it’s being still in one piece that’s the most important part. Hope your wallet is not hurting for long…
That totally sucks! At least you were able to get into the shop in one piece. Last year before we got a new car I was stranded at school several times because the ‘car died’…at least it didn’t happen after school started…!
i’m kind of just glad you’re still alive and unhurt, ok?
also you prolly don’t have jap text installed XD hence the ???????
don’t worry if you’ve never heard of him; i’d be amazed if anyone reading my xanga follows j-pop ^^;;;;;;; i just like this song of his? lyrics are kind of touching.
