  • Remember to check your fluids even if you just got your vehicle back from the repairshop. Somehow made it halfway back to school with no coolant literally.. and yes your temperature gauge CAN go beyond the red zone and even the H with the thick dash line

  • YIKES!  I hope your car’s o.k.  I guess it would be too much for a mechanic to give it a quick once-over to check for those things *shakes head*.  A friend of mine regularly used to drive her ’88 car-wreck while the gas tank was on “E”…I was always afraid it would die while we were on the road!…good times~

  • Dude, I hope you carry coolant all the time with the Laser. And if it was the Intrepid…. DAMN!!!

  • dude, how did you survive?

  • Yea… happened to a friend’s toyota celica – there was a leak in his coolant tank…

  • ryc:  I don’t think i had designated PT “best friend” status (no — I have three ‘best friends’ now and they’ve stood the test of time; each knowing me over 10 years).  I know that personal life gets in the way sometimes…and maybe when we get older – different relationships take greater chunks of our time (a significant other, then our own families) which doesn’t leave much room for others.

I agree with you that there are some friends that some how retain that connection no matter how much time or distance passes.  I had a friend of mine that I met in grade 8, she later entered the army reserves and travelled — and every few years she would call and we’d meet up and it would be as if we were both transported back to being 13.

I don’t want to be Peter Pan, but I think ‘life is personal’ — and so am constantly surprised (both in a good way or a bad way) about the way people behave.  I’ve seen acts of kindness, and …whatever’s the opposite of that :p

    Here’s hoping you have a lovely weekend~

  • I just read that last entry – you lost power steering?? It’s amazing to remember that power steering is a relatively recent invention and that driving, not too long ago, was a much less simple process.

  • I’m a schizophrenic font user…I get my thrills where I can *g*.
